In response to Haiti’s critical need to care for its orphans, a servant event team from Martin Luther Chapel returned to Port-au-Prince October 9-16, 2010. Martin Luther Chapel has previously sent three teams, including this past March following the earthquake, to help build a large orphanage outside Haiti’s capital city. This orphanage, dedicated and ready for occupancy only a week before the earthquake, was not destroyed but sustained enough damage to load-bearing walls and security perimeter walls to prevent children from living there. When the repairs are done, about 80 children without parents will call this place home.
